If you’re debating whether to do a ‘keyboard hack’ or buy a dedicated encoder like an IPAC, then this USB controller hack is a very cheap and viable alternative as it is far easier to hack, far less time consuming, and suffers none of the ‘ghosting’ problems of keyboard hacks. I usually get my orders in multiple smaller shipments as the items become available.

I’ve missed two b’days that way: That said, if you dont understand the basic concepts of ‘ground wires’, soldering, or these pictures generally don’t make sense to you, then the blueteo option is to buy an encoder like the IPAC Value Edition. I was planning to buy a J-Pac around Christmas myself.

Actual product may differ from that pictured. I just thought I’d update everyone that I’ve used these hacks in two control panels so far, and can happily joysfick they suffer no lag, and no ghosting. It’s a bit hard to see from your pic and the pics on Deal Extreme don’t show much either.
